The first story is free. After that, continued story delivery requires a paid subscription. See our pricing page for current plans.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
When you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
- Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by writing to hello@maplemoonpress.com
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (you will continue to receive stories until then)
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods as a matter of default, but we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis if you write to us
5. Stories are for connection, not therapy
This is important. Maple Moon Press stories are works of literature for connection and entertainment, written with developmental care. They are not therapy, counselling, or medical advice. We are not licensed mental health practitioners in our capacity as Maple Moon Press, and our stories are not a substitute for professional care.
If your child is experiencing significant emotional or behavioural difficulties, please consult a qualified mental health professional.
You agree that you will not rely on Maple Moon Press stories as a substitute for professional advice or care.
6. AI-generated content
Maple Moon Press stories are generated using artificial intelligence (specifically, Anthropic's Claude). We have designed the system with significant care and review the output regularly, but AI-generated content may occasionally:
- Contain minor errors or inconsistencies
- Touch on themes you did not anticipate
- Vary in quality from story to story
If you ever receive a story that does not feel right for your child, write to us at hello@maplemoonpress.com and we will gladly send a replacement.
7. Who owns the stories
You and your child have the right to read, share, and enjoy the stories we generate for you, in all personal and family contexts.
We retain copyright over the underlying writing style, structure, and generation system, and over the story texts themselves for the purpose of operating our service.
Do not commercially redistribute the stories. This means do not sell them, publish them under your own name, or incorporate them into a paid product. For any other use of the stories beyond your family, please write to us first.
8. Your obligations
When using Maple Moon Press, you agree to:
